পুরান ঢাকার দর্জি দোকানি বিশ্বজিৎ দাস হত্যা মামলার ডেথ রেফারেন্স ও আপিলের ওপর শুনানি শেষ হয়েছে। আগামী ৬ আগস্ট এ বিষয়ে রায়ের জন্য দিন ধার্য করেছেন হাইকোর্ট। 
 
আজ সোমবার বিচারপতি মো. রুহুল কুদ্দুস ও বিচারপতি ভীস্মদেব চক্রবর্তীর ডিভিশন বেঞ্চ এই দিন ধার্য করে দেন।
 
২০১২ সালের ৯ ডিসেম্বর বিএনপির ডাকা সকাল-সন্ধ্যা অবরোধের সময় রাজনৈতিক প্রতিপক্ষ ভেবে পুরান ঢাকার বাহাদুর শাহ পার্কের সামনে ছাত্রলীগের একদল কর্মী বিশ্বজিৎকে পিটিয়ে ও কুপিয়ে নৃশংসভাবে হত্যা করে। ২০১৩ সালের ১৮ ডিসেম্বর ঢাকার দ্রুত বিচার ট্রাইব্যুনাল-৪ এই মামলায় ৮ আসামিকে ফাঁসি ও ১৩ জনকে যাবজ্জীবন কারাদণ্ড দেয়। দণ্ডপ্রাপ্তরা ছাত্রলীগের নেতা-কর্মী ছিলেন। পরে তাদের দল থেকে বহিষ্কার করা হয়।
